We also use social media services such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, Tik Tok, Snapchat and Google Plus. We may collect and use any information that you make public when you use any such third party social media service for the purposes of our business. All such third party services are governed by the privacy policies and/or practices of those services providers, for which we are not responsible. Please do not provide us with Personal Information about other individuals (including the email addresses of third parties you refer when using our Loyalty Programme), unless you have obtained the consent of the individual to do so. 5 – SHOPIFY

Our store is hosted on Shopify which is provided by Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products to you.

Your Personal Information collected through this website is disclosed to Shopify and stored in Shopify’s data storage, databases and the general Shopify application. They store your Personal Information in compliance with industry standards.

In summary, this information is collected when you access our online store, place a product order, or sign up for an account with us. Personal Information collected by Shopify is used to provide us with their e-commerce services, such as processing orders, authenticating and processing payments, screening for fraudulent transactions, improving the services Shopify offers and, if you have opted in to Shopify Pay, to pre-fill your checkout information and to offer you customised advertising.

Shopify may also share your Personal Information with third parties where it is necessary to prevent or take action against illegal activity, where you have violated Shopify’s Terms of Service, where it is necessary to comply with any legal obligations, or where we have authorised the transfer of your Personal Information to other third parties (such as payment gateways). 6 – OTHER THIRD PARTY SERVICES

We use other third-party service providers to facilitate your payment for an order, to deliver the products you order to you and to send many of our marketing communications.

In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your Personal Information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.

We may transfer (or authorise Shopify to transfer) your Personal Information to other third party services providers (such as those described in the other sections of this Privacy Policy) to perform services on our behalf, to process the Personal Information on our behalf, or to hold it on our behalf.

These third parties may be based outside of New Zealand and may be based in countries without privacy laws as comprehensive as in your country of residence. If you are resident within the EU, these countries may not have an adequacy decision made in relation to them by the European Commission.

If you elect to proceed with a transaction using our online store and this website, then your Personal Information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which the third party or its facilities are located.

If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then your credit card data is stored only with the third party payment gateway. It is encrypted in accordance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS).

All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers. Once you leave this website or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or our website’s Terms of Service.  You should review their privacy policy when you are on their website.

When you click on links on our store, they may direct you away from our site. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites and encourage you to read their privacy statements.

 

7 – DISCLOSURE TO THIRD PARTIES

8 – HOW DO WE MANAGE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

Personal Information collected by us is held by us via Shopify, in accordance with the information provided in the section headed Shopify. When you provide us with your Personal Information, you are sending your Personal Information to the places where the Shopify servers are located. Shopify is also collecting and holding that Personal Information in accordance with their privacy policy.  Shopify’s address is 150 Elgin St., 8th Fl, Ottawa, ON K2P 1L4, Canada.

We will retain your Personal Information for the duration of your relationship with us (including where you hold an active account with us), as needed to provide you with our products (including where you have consented to receiving marketing communications), or to meet any legal obligations we may have to retain your Personal Information. We will not hold your Personal Information for longer than is reasonably required for the lawful purpose for which the information was collected.

If you wish to cancel your account, request that we delete your Personal Information, request that we no longer use your information to provide you with marketing communications, or withdraw your consent to use your Personal Information, please contact us at kirsty@beetl.co.nz. You may opt out of marketing emails by using the unsubscribe functionality. 

We will only retain Personal Information in legal proceedings as is necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our Terms of Service.

If our store is acquired or merged with another company, your information may be transferred to the new owners so that we may continue to sell products to you.

All prices displayed on this website are shown in local currencies where applicable (NZD, AUD). All prices are correct at time of publication; however, we reserve the right to change prices for any reason. Any price change is effective immediately upon posting to the website.  Products displayed on this website may be purchased using all major credit cards and all transactions are processed in New Zealand.

While BEETL Skincare has endeavoured to display accurately the colours of products, the actual colours you see will depend on your monitor and may not be accurate.

BEETL Skincare attempts to be as accurate as possible in describing products detailed on the website. However, BEETL Skincare does not warrant that product descriptions or other content of this website is accurate, complete, reliable, current, or error-free. If a product offered by BEETL Skincare itself is not as described, your sole remedy is to return it as per our Returns Policy, for refund of the purchase price.

Promotions

We reserve the right to verify the validity of any promotional offer redeemed by you at any time. If we have reason to believe that there has been unauthorised use of a promotional offer or discount code, it is open to us to revoke the order and/or cancel your order at our discretion. Orders

By placing an order on this website, you agree to accept the price specified on this website. This price may include additional delivery and other applicable charges. This offer may be accepted or rejected by BEETL Skincare for any reason, including, the unavailability of any product, an error  in the price or the product description posted on this website, or an error in your order. Your contract with BEETL Skincare will only come into existence when you have fully paid for your order and BEETL Skincare provides confirmation that your order has been accepted. Confirmation will be sent via email to your registered email address.  All products are subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any time. If we are unable to fulfil your order, you will be offered an alternative or given a refund for the unavailable product. 


Fraud Protection Program

As part of our order processing procedures, we screen all received orders for fraud or other types of unauthorized or illegal activity. If we suspect fraud or unauthorized or illegal activity, a member of our customer services team may call you at the phone number you provided to confirm your order or we may reject your order.  We also reserve the right to cancel any accounts or refuse to ship to an address. Loss or Damage in Transit

BEETL Skincare will take every care in packing and dispatching your purchase but is not responsible to the buyer or any person claiming through the buyer for any loss or damage to goods or products caused by any event of any kind by any person, whether or not BEETL Skincare is legally responsible for the person who caused or contributed to that loss. BEETL Skincare is not responsible for any loss of items that are wrongfully signed for and accepted by a third party.
